Next IT Security is built and run by a team who understand what it takes to get senior security leaders into a room together — and keep the conversation worth their time.
Leading the team is Founder and CEO Goran Kandić.
Goran Kandić
Founder & CEO
Goran has spent his career building platforms where technology leaders connect — Next IT Security is his fifth venture in the space. Before founding the company in 2023, he led Techbook as CEO for eight years, alongside earlier ventures at Copperberg and Midfield Media, and currently also runs Capital Summits.
That background shapes how Next IT Security runs: every edition stays capped at around 150 delegates, built around pre-arranged 1:1 meetings and closed-door roundtables on the issues actually keeping CISOs up at night — AI governance, cyber resilience, regulatory change. No trade show floor, no pitch decks from the stage. Just a room built by someone who’s spent two decades understanding how technology leaders actually want to connect.
Goran was born in Sweden and holds a BS in International Marketing from Stockholm University. He is of Serbian heritage.
